The Foods of Athenry Christmas Selection.  

Very Fruity Starry Mince Pies, and  A Truly Heavenly Christmas Cake come from The Foods of Athenry and are all gluten-free, wheat free and dairy free. They are available nationwide in Dunnes Stores, Tesco and SuperValus, health shops and can be ordered from their website. I haven’t tasted these myself but have tasted some of their other products and they were top-notch.

Deluxe Mango & Passionfruit Sorbet and Strawberry Sorbet from Lidl

I found these very fancy looking sorbets in Lidl in Westport. I didn’t buy as I was too far from home to buy frozen goods but I think the boys would love the novelty of eating out of the fancy (plastic) glasses. They contain no dairy in the ingredients.

Denise’s Delicious Coconut Macaroon & Chocolate Brownie

I received a sweet pastry from Denise’s Delicious range to review and the box also contained tasters of the brownies and coconut macaroons both of which are gluten, wheat and dairy free. They both lived up to the name, the brownie is a little dry and crumbly but was lovely with a cuppa. I’m looking forward to baking with the pastry and reviewing it.

Natasha’s Raw & Living Food Energy Bars, Cacao & Coconut Slices and Meridian Nut bars all dairy free and available in The Health Store in Arklow and other health food shops nationwide.

Jus Rol Thin Crust Pizza Bases & Tomato Sauce

I used these to make a dairy free pizza with no cheese. It would be fine to put on dairy free cheese such as Violife Cheese for Pizza too. It was delicious, easy to put together and a very quick and easy treat dinner. They have no milk products in the ingredients but do state a May contain milk, eggs and soy warning.

Aldi Mince Pies

Both the Everyday Essentials Mince Pies and the Holly Lane Deep Fill Mince Pies contain no milk in ingredients but have a may contain milk warning. My boys are big fans of the everyday ones and have had them a few times with no problems.
