Dairy Free Easter Eggs Hunt 2015
|Dairy Free Easter Eggs
Moo Free Easter Bunnycomb, Original and Cheeky Orange Eggs
These have been available the past couple of years. My sons had the original and the bunnycomb last year, they were delicious. They are dairy free, gluten free and vegan. You should find them easier than ever to find in Ireland this year, they are being stocked in Dunnes Stores, SuperValu, Centra and The Chocolate Warehouse in Dublin. You can also find them online at FreeFrom.ie and various health shops around the country.
Choices Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate & Chocolate Bunnies
Choices have been around for years and the prices are slowly coming down a bit each year as demand grows. They have 3 large variations, Milk Chocolate Easter Egg with Chocolate discs, Milk Chocolate Egg with caramel sweets and a dark chocolate one. They also have smaller (65g) white chocolate eggs with buttons and new to me milk chocolate ones with chocolate Rondellos. I’d love to know what Rondellos are they sound delicious!
Kinnerton Dairy Free Easter Egg
This is the largest of the dairy free eggs I’ve found. It is dark chocolate. It is dairy free, nut free, wheat free and gluten free. It is 195g and contains a hollow egg and a large bar. They have it in Tesco at the moment.
Plamil Dairy Free Alternative to Milk Easter Egg
These are dairy, gluten and nut free. There is also a no added sugar alternative to the milk egg. They also do a pack of mini half chocolate eggs which would be great for a treasure hunt. These are also available in the no added sugar variety. These are available in various health stores throughout Ireland and they are widely available in the UK.
Marks and Spencer Made Without Dairy
I’m not sure if the eggs will look the same as these ones (last year’s) below, but M&S will have a dairy free egg available from next weekend.
Holland & Barrett Organic Dairy Free Good Egg
These are organic, dairy free and made with rice powder.
After Eight Mini Bunnes **may contain milk**
These bunnies look delicious and can be found in Tesco and Dunnes Stores. They are may contain milk though.
Sainsbury’s Free From Milk Chocolate Egg & White Chocolate Egg
Sainsbury’s website have a most impressive Free From Easter Section, including their own Free from Milk Chocolate dairy free egg and white chocolate dairy free egg. As far as I know these are made by Choices so if you’ve tasted the Choices ones you’ll know what to expect. They also have Moo Free, Choices and their own free from hot cross buns on offer. If you’re lucky enough to be in the UK or Northern Ireland and can get to a Sainsbury’s do have a look.
Asda Free From Easter Egg with Choc Buttons and Easter Egg with Choc OrangeDiscs
Thanks to Karen McCain for sending me these photos. These are Asda’s own brand Easter Eggs and are Free From dairy, wheat and gluten. One comes with chocolate orange discs and the other with chocolate buttons.
Easter Sweets
I’ve come across a range of Easter jellies in Tesco again this year. I am not sure yet where else these are available but I will update as soon as I know.
Easter Marshmallows
I found these in Aldi. Marshmallows with bunny and chick shapes.
Let me know your dairy free Easter finds. I will continue to update this post with new things as I find them.
Thanks for this post. I want to buy some easter eggs for my niece (and also for myself) and I didn’t know where to go.
You’re welcome, hope it is a help! Haven’t found much locally myself yet,but there’s time yet. Happy Easter!
Just found this site. Really useful especially with Easter on the way, and a three year old to try to manage.
Thanks very much Ronan, glad to hear it’s helpful. I’ve a 3 year old too. :)
