Food on a Stick – Fruit Kebabs

I mentioned in my summer barbeque post that kids love food on a stick. Mine do anyway. My friend Jennie gave me the idea for fruit kebabs at a birthday party during the summer. The kids went mad for them. I made some for my 5 year old’s recent birthday party and they were devoured!

So what do you need?

  • Wooden long skewers
  • Any or all of the following:
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Melon
  • Apple
  • Pear
  • Mandarin
  • Kiwi
  • Pineapple
  • Mango
  • Marshmallows (optional)

Steps:

Chop the fruit into fairly uniform size. put onto a skewer alternating the different fruit.
Two or three fruit is fine or more if you wish.
Try to choose fruit in varying colours so they look well.
Try to get one for yourself before the kids eat them all.
