‘It’s Christmas in here’ my 3 year old shouts every time we go into Dunnes or Aldi with their flashing lights the past few weeks. I have been on the look out for dairy free advent calendars as is my custom at this time of year. I have found a few more options than last year.
Moo Free have their advent calendars again this year, they are dairy free, gluten free, wheat free, lactose free, vegetarian and vegan. The Moo free calendars are available in Dunnes Stores nationwide this year. I just got mine in Dunnes in Gorey today. You should also be able to find them in health stores including the newly opened Wholesome in Gorey and Holland & Barrett. Sam’s Pantry have them available to order online. You can also buy them direct from the distributors at the Chocolate Warehouse in Walkinstown Dublin.
Holland and Barrett have their own brand dairy free advent calendar. It can be found in their stores in Ireland and the UK and can also be bought online from their store.
The Choices advent calendar is available again this year, but as yet I have not found it in Irish stores. It can be bought in Sainsbury’s in the UK.
Tesco has their own brand dairy free advent calendar this year but I have yet to see it in Irish stores.
Sainsbury’s have their own brand free from advent calendar and Plamil also do a dairy free advent calendar.
Lidl have some lovely options available. One is a garland with 24 pockets which can be filled with toys or treats one for each day. They come in a few different designs and cost €7.99.
They also have a selection of advent calendars containing books available. This is the Hello Kitty one.
Sam’s Pantry have a diy advent calendar pack available to order too. I have tasted the chocolate and I can verify it’s delicious. *Unfortunately Sam’s Pantry is now closed.
Here are some of the toy ones I found in Smyths Toy Store.
For more ideas have a look at my post from last year. Enjoy the countdown.
