Dairy Free Product Watch October 2016
|Here are the new and new-to-me dairy free products I have found for October. I hope you find something you will like!
Eat Real Veggie & Kale Chips
I sampled these at the Free From Ireland Expo in Croke Park a few weeks ago. They are delicious crisps made from vegetables and pulses. This one is Veggie and Kale and is Dairy Free, Gluten Free and Vegan. They were a hit with all the family and the sharing bag is great for a movie night! They can be found in Tesco and retail around €3.10 for the large bag and €1.05 for smaller bags.
Nature Moi Dairy Free Cheese
We found this in our local Dunnes Stores. Cheddar Flavour, Original, Mozarella Flavour and there was a soft cheese also. My boys tried the cheddar one but weren’t fans. Like I’ve said before I think the dairy free cheeses are for adults maybe who really miss cheese rather than being a hit with kids who’ve never had it. The texture is funny and one gave out about the smell. They are priced at €2.99
Avoca Banana Bread
My friend tipped me off that Avoca had dairy free cakes, and I happened to visit the one in Kilmacanogue twice recently myself. They do indeed have a delicious looking Banana Bread and a Ginger Cake. At €7.95 they are a premium price but would be lovely for a special occasion.
Alpro
These little beauties are Alpro’s first venture into the dairy free ice-cream market. And they’ve done pretty well. We tried the Hazelnut Chocolate and the boys loved. I had a taste and it wasn’t bad at all. All three are Dairy Free Gluten Free and may contain nuts. The Hazelnut Chocolate and Coconut flavours are May Contain Soya and the Vanilla does contain soya. I found them in Tesco but I believe they are due to appear in Super Valu and Dunnes Stores too. Price €5 for a 500ml tub.
Shhh! Block your ears/ Cover your eyes now if you don’t want to hear me mention the C word! Tesco have their own free from selection boxes and chocolate discs this year. Tesco Ireland on Twitter have told me they will be available in Irish stores in the next few weeks! More details very soon. Let me know if you see them!

Disclaimer: I have not been asked to write about any of these products nor have I received compensation for mentioning them. I received the Veggie Crisps from Eat Real at the Free From Ireland Expo to try but otherwise we bought the products ourselves. All opinions as always my own.
Woo hoo you made my year. Chocolate coins class
