Product Watch November & December 2013
|My favourite recent dairy free find is Nairn’s Oat biscuits* range. I especially love the chocolate chip ones. They taste like any good chocolate biscuits and are dairy free. The range includes Stem Ginger, Fruit & Spice and Mixed Berries. They are widely available in the big supermarkets.
*The biscuit range all come with a warning that they may contain milk.
I have yet to try **Mrs. Crimble’s Range of Gluten Free Dairy Free cakes, but they look delicious and there is a wide variety available. Jam coconut rings, Macaroons, Chocolate macaroons, bakewell slices and more! Dunnes Stores stock them.
**Mrs. Crimbles goods all contain a warning that they may contain milk.
I mentioned the Gluten Free Foodies range in my last product update, I’ve had another look at their range. It contains exciting sponges such as treacle and ginger, lemon scented and chocolate madeira and bramley apple tart and raspberry bakewell tart.
And for dairy free adults only:
I found these lovely looking sorbets in the freezer section in Aldi. They contain alcohol and come with a label stating that they are not for children! They are dairy free though. Might be a nice treat over Christmas.
I have tried some of the Mrs Crimbles range and they were yum. Really like the look of those Aldi sorbets, think they will be “jumping” in to my trolley on Moday ;0) Thanks
Oh that’s great you like them. I’ll have to pop some in my basket the next day. Yeah the sorbets look great. Let me know if you try them. I had to explain to my 5 y o why they were for adults only. He was baffled as to why they had ‘wine’ in them. :)
